1. * 5/29/07 Kickbacks - NEC Corp. has confirmed that 10 of its employees received about $4.1 million in kickbacks from made up orders to subcontractors, according to an Associated Press report Tuesday. The company said tax authorities have notified the electronic company, which makes chips, computers and networking equipment and has operations in Rancho Cordova. Tax officials found that employees had $18.1 million in fictitious deals during the past seven years. The Tokyo-based company's executives said they will seek compensation and file criminal complaints against the workers.1
